Screenlabs é um ciclo de cinema e ciência, proposto pelo ciclo de eventos Nomadic.0910 - Encontros entre arte e ciência, comissariado por Maria Strecht e Heitor Alvelos, e pretende explorar de um modo alargado os cruzamentos e representações da ciência no cinema: uma amostragem de territórios cinematográficos, ensaiando e até investindo numa descontinuidade que é ela própria característica do cinema, procurando levar ao público em geral pontos de vista pouco comuns no dia a dia de quem vê cinema.

health violation. Their company - Good Flow Juice has been shut down by the FDA which
requires them to make safe juice with no bacteria. To comply they have to spend almost a
million dollars and stop making unpasteurized juice. This short film encapsulates the
family’s business struggles and their emotions.

Every winter, following the migration of grey whales, tourists, scientists, and conservationists
descend upon the San Ignacio Lagoon in Baja California, Mexico. Their presence
and the establishment of Latin America’s largest biosphere reserve - brings profound
change to the lagoon’s small fishing community. Twelve- year-old Antonio negotiates
between the different points of view of locals and outsiders about the changes and what
the future will bring. Whales of Gold raises questions about how to conserve habitat and
species in a way that also sustains the livelihoods of local people.

After a nuclear war, the world is in general destruction. The few survivors, who live in
bunkers under the earth, haven’t seen the sunlight for many years. However, since a while,
these poor humans are threatened by a queer disease, which is killing one human after
the next. The sensors of the bunker have discovered a very strong field of energy far east.
It is assumed that this is possibly the source of all malignance. Two of the few humans are
send out to get to the bottom of this matter. With the last resource of energy left, they are
fighting their way to the epicentre of the energy. But what they find, is against all their
expectations.
